Chief Operating Officer
Robert M. Opdyke joined our company in November 2006 as the Chief Operating Officer. With more than 30 years of professional experience, Mr. Opdyke has participated in both public accounting and private industry settings.
For the past 25 years he has held positions with companies active in a wide array of real estate industry activities. As Chief Financial Officer of Southwest Land Title Company his focus was directed to the automation of closing operations, plus underwriter and financial reporting. From 1988 through 1999, Mr. Opdyke served as the Chief Financial Officer of The Fults Companies. Fults provided third party management for more than 10 million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties and provided commercial real estate brokerage services through more than 30 licensed brokers. Mr. Opdyke actively directed the Treasury Services, IT, Human Relations and accounting support groups of the company.
As Chief Operating Officer of NAI Stoneleigh Huff Brous McDowell, Mr. Opdyke managed the operations of this commercial real estate brokerage firm from 2000 through 2006. Over this five year period the firm grew to more than 40 licensed agents and sustained income growth of by more than 15% per year. In 2006 the Dallas operations were sold to Transwestern Commercial Service.
Mr. Opdyke holds a B.S. in Accounting from Old Dominion University and received his CPA certificate in Texas in 1979, after service with Coopers & Lybrand.
He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after six years of active service. Bob is active with the Boy Scouts of America and is an Eagle Scout.
