George S. Watson
Executive Vice President - Finance and Principal

George S. Watson, a founder of our company, has served as Executive Vice President – Finance since our inception. Mr. Watson entered the Commercial Real Estate business in 1972 and together with his partner, A. Starke Taylor, III established the Watson & Taylor Companies in 1974. Since 1974, Mr. Watson has been involved in various business entities engaged in the ownership and management of real estate and the management and syndication of various public and private partnerships.
He served on the Board of Directors of First City Bank of Dallas from 1984 through 1987 and as a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee from 1985 through 1987. Mr. Watson has also served as Chairman of the Board of the Capital Network, a non-profit corporation that assists entrepreneurs and others in locating capital. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. For his tireless commitment to this organization, Mr. Watson was honored in April 2006 as one of the City of Dallas’ North Stars. In addition, Mr. Watson currently serves as a member of the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business Administration Foundation Advisory Council and is a founder of the Business School’s Community Minority Business Advancement program, an outreach program providing intensive business education to minority business owners.
Mr. Watson holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s of Business Administration degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Watson is a Certified Public Accountant.
