Diane D. Taylor

Diane Douglass Taylor is a graduate of the Honors Plan of the College of Business Administration at the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA degree. She majored in Personnel Management and minored in Psychology. After graduation in 1965, she moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where she worked for General Motors in the Personnel Department. Upon returning to Dallas in 1966, she worked as a legal secretary and administrative assistant to senior executives in two local securities firms. Diane pursued and obtained her license as a Registered Representative with the New York Stock Exchange and worked for a local Texas firm and later a large New York firm. She held that position until accepting an opportunity to join HSM Real Estate Securities, a division of the Henry S. Miller Company, to market new real estate products. While engaged in this position, she also pursued and obtained her real estate license becoming the top producer in the Income Properties Division of the Miller organization in 1974. After her marriage, she devoted the next years to raising five children and becoming active in numerous civic, charitable and social organizations as well as teaching Sunday School and bible studies at her church, Park Cities Presbyterian Church.
In 2002, she returned to the business world to become Regional Manager of Watson & Taylor Management, Inc. with the responsibility of supervising operations of the self storage portfolio. Diane now serves as Vice President of Watson & Taylor Management, Inc. overseeing HR and benefit matters as well as marketing and operations of 32 properties in 6 states. She is married and in addition to her five children she now enjoys seven grandchildren.
